The natural advantage of a fiberglass boat over an aluminum boat is that fiberglass boats are better equipped for the long haul- they can more easily withstand choppy waters and are not prone to corrosion. By building fiberglass thick enough, you can mimic some of the beneficial properties of aluminum, though, and that’s what we set out to do. We start out with a liquid resin, mix it with the catalyst and before you know it, there’s your fiberglass hull!
